Prior to joining Lyrical in February 2008, David Merklin served as Head of Strategy and Product Development for Leumi Group. He developed global relationships, including through joint ventures, with financial institutions and other product suppliers. He was responsible for creating, developing and maintaining comprehensive investment offerings, including alternative investments, for high net worth and institutional customers of Leumi’s International and Global Private Banking Division.
Mr. Merklin developed and maintained responsibility for Leumi Global Managers Funds, an array of multi‐manager investment vehicles.
Before joining Leumi, Mr. Merklin was a consultant with McKinsey & Co. in London, focused on financial institutions.
Mr. Merklin began his career at Bankers Trust in New York and its successor, Deutsche Bank, in London as a proprietary trader, where he undertook and managed trading positions in G20 and emerging capital markets.
Mr. Merklin also serves on the Investment Committee of Shaare Zedek hospital in Jerusalem as well as on the boards of several other charities.
Mr. Merklin received a B.A. from Yeshiva University where he majored in Mathematics and Economics.
