Fitz Haney

Ambassador (ret.) S. Fitzgerald Haney (Fitz) joined Lyrical in April 2020 as Managing Director, Institutional Sales and Client Service. Most recently, Ambassador Haney was Head of Strategic Development in Viola Group, Israel’s largest tech investment firm with $3 billion in managed assets. Fitz focused on investor relations, client service and strategic development across the entire group.

Before joining Viola, Fitz served as US ambassador to Costa Rica where he was charged with protecting U.S. citizens in Costa Rica, implementing U.S. foreign policy objectives, advancing U.S. commercial interests and expanding U.S.- Costa Rica ties.

Prior to his ambassadorship, Fitz was Head of EMEA business development and client services for Pzena Investment Management, a $40 billion global asset manager. Fitz also previously worked throughout Latin America in strategy, marketing and operations for Fortune 50 US multinationals including, Citibank, PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble.

He began his tech investment career working as a Senior Associate for an Israeli seed stage VC. He speaks Spanish, Portuguese, Hebrew and conversational French.

Fitz has served on a number of non-profit and community boards including HIAS, the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council, The Georgetown University MSFS Advisory Board, the Foundation of Jewish Culture and the Englewood, NJ Planning Board and Board of Adjustments.

He also placed second in season four of Dancing with The Stars – Costa Rica.
